Damon Albarn

I feel when Damon put his vocals on, and I put my backing vocals on – that’s what makes Blur Blur. All of a sudden, it’s like, ‘Woah, it feels like Blur’. But kind of more like males. (…) I feel the voices are deeper, perhaps richer. There’s a wierd vulnerability, but there’s kind of a power. It’s an fascinating factor to be part of. However extraordinarily constructive. I assumed we have been getting on great – there was plenty of laughing in the studio, a lot of fooling around. We needed to snigger and be silly because it was intense. You’ve received to have occasions once you’re just being an idiot.
