Band will headline on the London stadium on 8 July for their 35th anniversary, supported by Slowthai, Self Esteem and Jockstrap
Blur have announced a one-off 2023 show to happen at London’s Wembley stadium on 8 July. Will probably be the long-lasting London four-piece’s first present since 2015 and first at Wembley; they are going to be supported by Northampton rapper Slowthai, acclaimed pop musician Self Esteem, and rising experimental pop duo Jockstrap. Although the group – frontman Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree – released their debut album in 1991, 2023 marks 35 years since their 1988 formation.
“We really love enjoying these songs and thought it’s about time we did it once more,” Albarn stated in a press release. “I’m really wanting forward to enjoying with my Blur brothers once more and revisiting all those nice songs,” Coxon stated. “Blur stay exhibits are all the time superb for me. A pleasant guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces.”
