Koze has worked with some massive names, together with Damon Albarn, on Music Can Hear Us’ lead single, “Pure Love.” In 2015, Koze stated, “I’m not homosexual at all, however a bit bit I might imagine with Damon Albarn.”
“Did I actually say that?” Koze says, snickering. “I don’t actually know him, but as an inventive figure he is sort of a position model for me, how one can get previous with dignity, be so open-minded, the way you spend day-after-day of your life making music, and naturally, the musical genius, his expression, how he sings. For me he has a magic voice. It just hits me.”
He met Albarn at Coachella in 2022. They have been in adjoining trailers, and, with Koze having remixed a Gorillaz monitor in 2019, Albarn introduced himself. They drank champagne and spoke concerning the writings of Hermann Hesse, and Albarn showed Koze that he speaks just a little German.
