Individuals danced (albeit maybe a bit cautiously), but for a concert nonetheless topic to the coronavirus measures, it was a real social gathering. At the spectacularly lit Gashouder in Amsterdam, the musicians of the Concertgebouw Orchestra shared the stage with such massive names of West African music as Mamadou Diabaté, Afel Bocoum and Mélissa and Ophélia Hié – with singer-songwriter Damon Albarn bringing all of them together.
